T.R. McKenzie Inc. was founded in 2003 by Tim McKenzie to manage his properties because he was not satisfied with the property management market in the greater Madison area. Tim grew his company by building new apartments and managing them with his in-house team of professionals that focus on the resident experience. Tim passed away in 2013, but his legacy is carried on by his family who continues to push the company to new heights. Today, we manage 1,500+ units across the greater Madison area.

We focus on professional property management services that revolve around the resident experience. We maintain our properties to reflect the high standard our residents expect from a T.R. McKenzie property and hire quality staff that we can trust to help carry out our vision. Our 15+ years of experience managing multi-family buildings in the Madison area gives us the knowledge and expertise on how to efficiently manage properties to run smoothly for our residents. Our on-site staff manage all daily activities of the property from leasing, maintenance, and resident support. Our corporate team handles accounts receivable and payable, administrative, and marketing tasks so that our properties can focus on their daily priorities.

When managing a property for a third party owner, we will treat your property as our own. We will prepare yearly budgets and marketing plans to suit your needs, as well as providing monthly and/or quarterly financial reports to keep you informed about your bottom line. We will handle all aspects of managing your property, including working with third party contractors and screening potential residents. We pride ourselves on hiring skilled laborers to complete work in-house and keep those third party costs to a minimum.

As the owner, you will maintain full control on any fiscal decisions that affect your property. We have varying degrees of involvement from our partnering property owners, and we will find a balance of involvement that is right for you. Let us manage your property, we will treat it as our own!
